A vacancy currently exists for a Room Attendant at Golden Gate National Park, based at Golden Gate Hotel and Chalets. Reporting to the Chalets Supervisor.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NVC Level 4
- 1-2 years’ work experience in public cleaning or Tourism environment.
- Certificate in Public Cleaning added as advantage.
- Cleaning in a hotel or similar establishment added as advantage.
- Required to work over weekends and on Public Holidays as well as shifts and assist in other departments on request of management.
- Knowledge of First Aid.
- Hygiene skills.
- Understanding English.
- Punctual, neat, and responsible.
- Comply with OHS regulations.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning in and around chalets (changing bed linen, sweeping, and mopping floors or vacuuming, polish furniture, empty trash containers.
- Cleaning public area.
- Reporting abnormalities to supervisor.
- Control inventory items and ensure that the appropriate amount of inventory items is present in chalets.
- Report maintenance defaults into maintenance register.
- Help in laundry when necessary.
- Delivers high-quality service, is committed to continuous improvement.
