Requirements:
- Senior certificate/ Grade 12 or equivalent qualification, computer certificate, and 1 year experience in records management and registry.
- Must be reliable, punctual and honest. 1-year exposure in a hospital environment.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of Batho-Pele principles.
- Be willing to work in a team under pressure.
Duties:
- Provide registry counter services by attending to clients, handling telephonic and other enquiries received.
- Receive and register hand-delivered mail/files.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence by receiving all mail, sorting, registering and dispatching mail, and distributing notices on registry issues.
- Records Management services by opening and closing files according to the records classification system.
- Filing, sorting, tracing(electronically/manually) and retrieval of documents and files.
- Operate office machines in relation to the registry functions by opening and maintaining the franking machine register.
- Process documents for archiving and disposal by electronic scanning of files, sorting and packing files o archives, and distribution.
- Compiling a list of documents to be archived and submitting to the supervisor, keeping records for archived documents, auditing files using Metro filer system.
