- Operations • Assist in establishing programs to minimise unplanned downtime on critical equipment. • Participate in cross functional teams to address cleaning, lubrication and first line maintenance functions. • Participate in the development of RCM-based task lists for all key equipment. • Participate in failure analysis techniques for cross functional teams. • Analyse maintenance history to identify recurring failure patterns. • To ensure that preventive actions are implemented to ensure effective maintenance programs. • Make formalised recommendation to the Engineers, Foremen and GESs. • To ensure that maintenance schedules are agreed upon by production and engineering. • Ensure that capacity planning is done on a daily basis, which includes both preventative as well as corrective maintenance tasks • To ensure that all work is controlled through work orders and that all information loops are closed. • Liaise with Supervisors to confirm that all technical manuals and documents are up to date and stored in a Technical Library. • Participate in new equipment specifications. • To participate in on-site and company RCM development and review for primary production equipment. • Determines, in conjunction with Supervisors, that all facilities and tools are adequate for basic maintenance tasks. • Assist with any other additional ad-hoc engineering tasks/projects as required.
