Requirements:

• Valid Degree in Occupational Therapist and must be registered with HPCSA as Occupational Therapist.
• Must have completed community service in OT.
• Must be computer literate.
• Willing to work under pressure.

Duties:

• Attend scheduled ward rounds and meetings.
• Assessment of all referred clients (both physical rehabilitation and mental health rehabilitation) in the allocated areas of work.
• Execution of appropriate treatment and issuing of assistive devices.
• Referral of clients to next level of care.
• Implement occupational therapy standards for facilities, service delivery and training for all levels of care in line with occupational therapy standards.
• Assess patients for assistive devices and reasonable accommodation and complete relevant documentation.
• Implementation of policies, guidelines and protocols in sections for/related to occupational therapy services.
• Communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Comply with standards and ethical requirements as set out by the HPCSA.
